There is a darkness that lurks inside of me. The evil that runs through my veins is a constant reminder of the ruthless killer I once was.

But somehow I've been changed. I'm not that person anymore. Unlike before, I can feel remorse for my actions even though guilt doesn't erase the past that still haunts me.

I've been given a chance to lead a normal life. A chance to be a son, a brother and maybe more.

My name is Mason. My future is undecided.

I don't know if it will last. All I know for certain is that none of it will even matter if I can't escape my past.

I have read the whole entire series now and although I did enjoy this book, there were some things throughout the series that bothered me. Catherine(Mason and Jared's mother) was not a believable character. She was just too accepting of everything her sons did.

First of all, what responsible parent(As the book claims she is) would be happy that her about one of her sons getting engaged before graduating high school? What responsible parent would be happy about her son(Jared) getting his seventeen year old girlfriend pregnant? What responsible parent would take orders from one of her sons, even if he is the leader of the Archaic? What parent would want their eighteen year old son to have kids before even going to college and getting a steady job? And what parent would willingly let both her eighteen year old children go into battle without so much as a complaint?

Another thing that bothered me was that there were so many unanswered questions. Where did Mason get the money for Neave and him to get their own place? Why do Jared and Ava stay moved into Jared's mom's house? And where did Jared get the money to buy Ava a wedding ring?(this happens in book three) Plus, Ava's parents move overseas when they find out she is pregnant. Why would they move away? Wouldn't good parents(as the author tries to portray them in book three) order their daughter to move out of her Grandmother's house and get away from Jared?(because he would presumably be a bad influence).

Other than that there were some issues with sentence structure and some sentences that don't make sense. I really did enjoy most of the book but the reason I gave it two stars is because of all the things I listed above.

Mason Archaic Book 4 eBook Regan Ure Reviews

What a way to end the series. You will completely fall in love with all the characters again and you won't be able to stop the tears from falling
Loved the entire series... The character development was great... The story line was awesome.. The ending was great. I hope there is more to come from this series. I would love to read Andrew's story...
The best book series ever!!!!!!!! I really enjoyed read this book. I’m glad we got to see a perspective from Mason. You won’t regret reading this book!
Hot Hot Hot!

This was a wonderful surprise. A continuation of the Archaic series in Mason's point-of-view. After all the horrific things that Mason has done in the past, I'd never thought I'd find myself rooting for him, but his struggle to adapt to his new found humanity is really the heart of this one. And did I mention hot? This one is more hot and heavy than the other ones and with whom he gets hot and heavy was definitely a wonderful surprise.

Must read!
This book didn't disappoint. I was looking forward to reading this book when it came out after reading the other 3 (again) while waiting for its release. I liked having a book from Mason's point-of-view and understanding the internal conflict he was having. I was overall very happy with the character development and the pace of the book. Definitely nice to see a happy ending in the story.
I want to cry. This was one of my favorite series and Mason is the final book. I loved getting to know more of Mason and I have a new respect for Nieve. The book was everything I had hoped for. Romance and the importance of relationships of all kinds was a strong theme for this book. I was thrilled with how the series wrapped up and appreciated the author wrote an epilogue. It just makes the finality of the end more satisfying. Five glittery stars because ten glittery stars aren't available to rate!
I am so happy Mason got to share his story. He intrigued me from the beginning. You learn a little more about the inner workings of the hue, which was interesting. Definitely didn't see him and Neve getting together. But their story was cute. They fell for wach other quickly but ofcourse were in denial, it took death to make them realize it. There's action, suspense a little heartache and some major bombshells but it gets tied up beautifully at the end. This was a great series and I'm so glad I came across it by getting the first book free.
