Who would have thought that the Apocalypse would be triggered by the arrival of space aliens and UFO's? Dave Stroh never imagined it. All he wanted was to become a journalist after college and marry Amaris, the love of his life. Unfortunately, the arrival of alien UFO's and abduction of thousands of humans made sure neither would happen anytime soon, maybe never. Dave witnesses firsthand the abduction of his neighbors and soon finds that people are missing all over the world. Those left behind watch helplessly as government and military can do nothing to stop it. Chaos ensues as cars, planes, and trains are left without anyone to man them. Countless accidents occur worldwide. Charismatic leader, Antonio Aitseb unites the countries and encourages those left behind to stand against the invaders, but are they really the enemy? Circumstances appear to improve but Dave isn't fooled. Aitseb imposes a statute requiring everyone on earth to have a "Securichip" implanted with vital information of individuals that can be retrieved with a scan of ones hand or forehead. Dave sees what can happen to those who refuse the implant. His mother refuses and is almost beheaded right before his eyes. Aitseb is eventually discovered for whom he really is, the Antichrist. His union with an alien demonic beast gives him power to rule the new world. Now, it's up to Dave and his friends, both human and alien, to defeat these two demonic beasts and rescue the planet from this nightmare.

As advertised, this was a bizarre story combining alien abduction and the end times. The prologue allows the reader to know that a lot has happened prior and you find out that Dave is actually writing & documenting everything that's happened since the abductions. Prologue was a little lengthy for me, but it did help to set the stage for the rest of the story.Chapter one captures your attention immediately and it's non stop from there. The arrival of Alien UFO's and abduction of humans, understandably, creates chaos on Earth. You assume the aliens are the bad guys in chapter one but soon find out they have actually come to help. The charismatic Antonio Aitseb unites those left behind and appears to make things better, but not everyone left on Earth is convinced by Aitseb, especially Dave and his friends. Dave witnesses firsthand what this guy is really capable of and wants nothing to do with him. Dave sees him for who he really is-a demonic and evil antichrist.
There are twists and turns throughout the story with horror scenes, sci-fi & thriller scenes, that keep the story moving at a fast pace and keeps the reader interested. Lots of action, many bizarre scenes within the story, some blood & gore (if you're into that), and a love story, to boot.
This appears to be the authors first novel and a few rookie mistakes are apparent, but it's also apparent that he has a knack for storytelling and has a future as an author. I'd like to see what he comes up with next.

This story was hard to put down. Every chapter brought more excitement and suspense with more twists and turns. The vivid details and descriptions makes you feel like you are fighting the battle with Dave and his friends. The ending still gets me! I've read it three times and I'm still at the edge of my seat!
